Writing on GitHub supports creating Mermaid diagrams including Architecture Diagrams but it does not yet support "the 200,000+ icons available in iconify.design". May we get supported added for defining richer diagrams with icons specific for technologies used (e.g. AWS icons)?

Same need, it will be a huge enhancement for readme and wiki with this feature

I would agree, currently we use another tooling for this - https://diagrams.mingrammer.com/

Since mermaid-js added support for this, I have been keen to move to it. The main benefit is that mermaid-js does a better job at drawing lines and not making a complete mess of the final result. I have played around with mermaid-js integration on GitHub and it is very useful to not need a separate process for compiling images off the diagram definitions. The only thing stopping me from moving to GitHub's approach is icon support

Need user/account and other icons for Mermaid plugin in Confluence, but only icons from logos are working (example: "logos:aws-lambda").
Does it possible?
